PengPod For Land Boundary Surveyors

Postby joseph_oc » Tue May 14, 2013 8:23 am

1) I have purchased a screen anti-glare overlay for the peng-pod which seems to make the screen readable in bright daylight - big plus

2) I have LibreCAD working on my PengPod - which willl be used as the interface program for the Surveyor. Big-plus

3) Currently writing Coordinate Geometry (COGO) routines for LibreCAD which will make the PengPod functional for Surveyors. This will take time but should open a sizable market to the PengPod which would be very competitively priced.

I will keep you all updated on progress - especially step 3.

Thanks for your time

Re: COGO for PengPod? (For Land Boundary Surveyors)

To All;

I am currently in communication with MIT in the hopes of initiating an open source community for a Coordinate Geometry (COGO) program written by MIT Professors and Civil Engineers in the 1960's and 70's.

I woould like to port this software to LibreCAD and the PengPod.

I will keep you abreast.

Best Wishes,
Joe O'Connor

UpDate:

In touch with Professor that wrote the MIT CEALs COGO Package. Should find out this week if we can get an Open Source Project started under the name of CEALs COGO.

Great news
