Sorry for the delay everyone. I wanted to wait until everything was sorted out but I should had give some update sooner. Basically PayPal did not want to give us the funds. Our account was 'limited' and we had a stressful negotiation where it sounded like they weren't going to release the funds for the project. We wasted a lot of time scanning documents, annotating, consulting with lawyers and trying to make alternate plans, while getting very sparse 'form' refusals from PayPal offering us no options.

Indiegogo was slower to respond than usual but once our marketing manager mentioned talking to the media they started responding. Hopefully their first line support personnel just didn't know what to do and the timing was coincidental. I can't knock them because I think it was their efforts which broke the impasse. They reported a positive response from their contacts at PayPal. Not long after I got an actual phone call from PayPal and more than that he actually seemed to understand the nature of crowd funding and that without the funds I couldn't provide tracking numbers. He promised to take it up internally and see what he could do. It was sorted out shortly after and we had fully received the funds by Tuesday of this week.

Things have been very busy since. The CE issues I mentioned were nothing serious, we are getting a declaration issued with our brand name based on the manufacturers certification which should make customs clearance easier. This process is now underway. The order has been finalized with our supplier and work will begin first thing next week. They are saying they might beat the time we had scheduled for them, which would be good after PayPal delayed the project for a week. We planned some time for these kind of unexpected delays though so we are still on track for shipping in January. If you want a certificate to give as a gift, let us know right away. We have only had a few request and they should go out Monday.

Now we are getting free of the operational issues for a while. It will be mostly software work until the devices arrive, so updates should be more frequent. I try to check in on the forum at least once a day also, so that is a great place to ask questions or start talking about your plans for your PengPod.

    Thanks for the update.

I was one of those who had trouble contributing to the campaign. My PayPal account is only backed by a PayPal MasterCard (credit card). Some sites won't accept charging via PayPal, but usually work if I directly charge the MasterCard. Indiegogo wouldn't let me do this either, it just faulted out.

I was happy that you allowed us to pre-order after the campaign, but was unhappy when you had to refund the payment. I will look forward to when I can actually order something. Until then, good work and good luck in the future.
